Amino Acids are not really a weight loss supplement; They are a "building block" of protein. Mainly used by bodybuilders, weightlifters, etc., for muscle growth & repair. Many supplement with them directly after the workout. You're probably in the market for something more along the lines of a fat burner, or fat blocker.
But more importantly, what is your diet like now? Are you a clean, consistent eater? Healthy foods? Go long periods of time & then load up on big meals? What about your activity level? Do you participate in any sports at all? The optimal way of eating is small to moderate evenly spaced meals. I personally follow the typical "bodybuilder's diet", consisting of 4-6 meals a day, including a couple protein shakes.
