| Stepped away from the machine and did free squats. The weight is weak sauce but I have to try something new. Squats: 125x10 175x8 225x6 I have to be so careful with the knee so I don't put much lateral pressure on it. We'll see where it goes from here. Preacher Curls: 75x10 125x8 140x5 140x3 125x8 DB Curls: 55x10 65x7 Calfs and abs _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. I concentrate on spotting and weeding out satanic paper, handkerchiefs (do you really want Satan that close to your nose?) and eggs. I can spot satanic eggs at Wal Mart like a frickin' drug sniffing dog.

I have this strap made of seat belt material. Their are loops on each end. I send one end through a plate and then connect both ends with a D-ring. I let the weight hang between my legs and the strap hangs of my hip bones. Same set up for weighted dips._________________ Hey kid!  |

That's just nuts!!!! Do you do those reps consecutively or is this kind of like that thing where you get as many reps as you can do in an hour? Either way, still nuts!!!! I bet your back was cussing you pretty good by the end of this. |

| Jim, They are consecutive reps in one set. I'd lost my "edge" recently so I've been lifting like this lately to get back my mental toughness and to re-build some of my base. I think those long, brutal sets really dig into periphary muscles that aren't normally involved in low rep sets. My back?? It's still sore (good pain, not bad pain) and I squat tomorrow. I think I'll recover just in time for squat day. I plan on doing this with DL again except with 288. I've been really enjoying these high intesity lifts. Afterwards I'm so pumped I feel like going jogging or playing basketball....anything. They really set off that exercise "high". _________________ Hey kid!  |
