PostSubject: Just a quick question   Wed Dec 03, 2008 12:22 am

Ok. Ive been training on and off for a bout a year now. My chest is kinda lopsided, like one side is bigger than the other and i have the same problem with my back except opposite sides, I just want advice on how to fix this. It stems from my high school days when i would train using poor form and ive never really fixed it.
Ive asked some friends and they say that it my body will balance out over time is that true??
any feedback would be appreciated.. Thanks

You are probably over compensating one side when lifting. For chest, I would concentrate on some dumbbell bench pressing and try using a little heavier weight on the smaller side. Also concentrate on form, don't hurry the lift and be in control. Always try to be even on your lifts, don't cheat with the strong side.

When lifting with single-side lifts (one arm row) always start off with the weaker side. When you switch to you dominate hand, only do as many reps with it as you were able to do with the weaker side.
If you start with your dominate hand you'll never get as many reps with the weaker hand.
