Hi! How do non-factory pressed Christian metal Demo CDR's go over on Ebay? Should I just sell them here? I put band made CDR in the Ebay listing and Ebay took it off. I thought I could put in the listing that the disc is not factory pressed. I also do not want to make anybody mad and receive negative feedback. I have some rare stuff. Some have professionally made inserts like factory pressed CD's but the disc is a CDR with a printed sticker on it. A lot of bands from Europe and South America release their music like that. Please give me some thoughts.

Well, I can speak only for myself, but as a collector I go for the original cassette release and wouldn't pay much for a CD-R, professional though it may be. Although it would be nice to have it on CD, I would not pay much for it.

Plus, as eBay has made evident, you probably won't be able to get away with that, honest though your intentions may be.

Hi! Thanks for the response. These releases are not something that was originally released on cassette. They are pretty recent. Like in the last five years. They were bought from places loke Rad Rockers, The Nordic Mission in Norway, The Metal Mission in Brazil, and the Christian Demo Clearing House.

if they are originals then just don't put it in the short description title.
just write it down somewhere in the description if you think this is necessary.

Just space out CDR so it says C D R or say something like "not a silver CD, but original as produced by the band" or "low-budget release." eBay has search crawlers that only search for certain terms like CDR or bootleg, but there are lots of ways to get around it if you are creative.

However, there are occasionally self-appointed self-righteous eBay users who sometimes report listings they don't agree with, even if you take the above steps. You shouldn't have to worry too much about that, though.

Also - after an auction is over, then you might actually email the winner to verify that they understand the item is a CDR and was only originally produced that way, before you accept payment or before you ship it. That should help you avoid mad customers.

Or you could just send me a list of what you have and I'll buy them from you.
