anyone deal with xcastellanetax?

Is anyone else having problems with this board member and seller Joe
Castellaneta, xcastellanetax? Like sending him money and receiving
nothing? I sent him a large sum for a few hundred CDs (with money
orders, like an idiot), and haven't received anything. He had valid
excuses for the first couple of weeks, but now he won't return PMs or
phone calls. I'm starting to fear that I'm a victim of fraud and
perhaps he's a scam artist.

Has anyone had any dealings with him, successful or otherwise?

Next step will be to file a police report and add him to all the
fraudulent seller lists online. Then make a trip to NY since I have
his work and home addresses. Just want to cover all my bases before
then, and give him another chance to do the right thing if he reads
this.

I never buy or trade with anyone who is not an established poster at the CMR. When someone pops in out of nowhere wanting to trade, I am always wary.

I got some bad ju-ju off him the second he posted that list....there were some cds that on his list that I was interested in, but the red flags were enough to keep me from offering any dough to someone on a whim.

I saw xcastellanetax log on here earlier today and quickly retreat once I posted my bummer response to bump the thread up.

The guy gave some excuse about being busy and all that crap, but I seriously doubt that he could have been that busy that he couldn't have at least responded to people's emails. I've sold quite a few things through this buy/sell/trade section and i've always been right in contact with people about things they've bought from me....and my stuff is usually sent out within a day of them paying me....if not, i send a quick email to let them know what's up and when i'll be sending the stuff out. It's called RESPECT.

Well, he finally called me today to let me know he had shipped my CDs. A month after I paid him, and after about 10 previous promises to ship them on other days. He was super apologetic and nice, and he really did have a hellish month, so I'm inclined to hope for the best that they'll arrive. Will post here when they do.

I definitely learned my lesson about sending money orders to people I don't know. It's Paypal only for strangers from now on, for me. That way I can at least file a claim if need be.
