The one where he speaks with a very mangled German accent and shoots/smashes things.

Hope that narrows it down. Very Happy

That made me remember........ scratch

Back when I used to play/referee Dungeons & Dragons games......I once had a party of adventurers run into Conan. That was the only time Conan showed up in a D & D game......in ten years of active and frequent play/refereeing.

This party of intrepid (and stupid, greedy) travellers was lying in a room, resting, looking down a hall in an abandoned castle. When they saw a single man moving down the hallway toward them.....they all lept to their feet and prepared to jump him and rob him. There were about 6 or 7 of them, most of them fighters and one or two magic users. Lower level characters.....1st through 3rd level, if I remember correctly.

The single stranger was obviously a fighter type.....moving down the hallway holding a torch and with his sword in other hand. I described him as......Conan. He looked like......Conan. scratch The guys in this party of adventurers just did not make the association. They did not expect Conan......so this single man coming down the castle hallway was not Conan. scratch Simple as that.....they did not *get it*. Evil or Very Mad

So......they started streaming out of the doorway to the room and attacked the single stranger (Conan). Razz At the end of the encounter--it lasted about 30 seconds--Conan had a small, minor flesh wound on one upper arm holding the torch. The entire band of greedy idiots were dead. Every single time Conan swung his sword someone died. One swing, one death.

Conan looted the dead bodies......and went on his way. Arrow Arrow

You should have seen my friends' faces when I told them who they had tried to rob. pale

PostSubject: Commando   Mon Jul 06, 2009 1:36 am

I gotta go with Commando.

My brother rented it for a get-together with his friends, for which I was unable to hangout with because I was the annoying younger brother, so later that night when the friends were gone and the rest of my family was asleep, I quietly watched it and thought it was the coolest movie. Now I just laugh at it and it brings me a lot of amusement, with explosions bounce .

A Great thing, for me, about the Gov. of California's Movies, is, that I can sit down, with my kids, and watch them, for their first time, and they think that they are as cool as I thought that they were when they came out.......He made Great movies, period.

Oh, and in case you don't know which Actor/Gov., of Cal. I was talking about,........ I meant both of them. cheers

I watched Total Recal with my 16 year old son the other day and he thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Arnold does have the tendency to be the butt of jokes and such, but he did make some great popcorn entertainment. Comic book characters before it was all the rage....

I voted T2,no 6th Day,I thought ideawise that was a very interesting movie, like Demo Man,it had the obligatory Hollywood ending but it did raise some interesting questions, the best part was when the half formed clone was trying to take his clothes ,I believe it was, have not seen it in a while, from the dying clone and the dying clone said aren't you even going to wait for me to die, and the half formed clone said, would you ? Intended to make you think ,or not, considering the source, that was a very telling line about how dangerous the idea is and good ol human dark potential, especially without the pretense of a soul to begin with..........

I voted Terminator, but I did think that Total Recall was a brilliant idea and I would have voted for that if they hadn't of sweared so much. A bit of swearing is okay, but that was just way over the top for my liking.
