Sorry I haven't been around much...

I've been busy. I am back in school pursuing a Second Bachelor's in Music Education. I started out the first time around going for a Music Ed degree. But because of the size of the music department and other factors, I switched my major and go a Bachelor's in Communication. Alot of you know that I got laid off in March from my job at the machine shop. It got me to thinking. I honestly believe that I am called to teach music and especially to those who cannot afford lessons. In August, I enrolled at the University of New Mexico. I play tuba in the marching band and also the Soundpack, which is the basketball band. Good thing is that I am not the oldest guy in the band. I still listen to my metal but I also now play a heavy metal instrument..the tuba weighs about 37 pounds.. talk about a killer workout. Keep me in prayer guys and I will update you on my many wonderful adventures. By the way, our band is doing our Journey Show... this should be fun.

Tubas don't get many solos as it is.. lol... but I do play the Close Encounters of the Third Kind theme... btw... I am on You Tube... sort of.. type in Zia 2009 Intro or just click below... I wind up on the top left part of the second O in the Lobo Set... enjoy!!
