Thoughts? I have been told it is awesome as far as graphics and such, but that the plot line has some major problems.

BAH!
...I haven't seen it yet, but...it's a Michael Bay movie...check your brain in at the door, and enjoy things going "boom"...

...my sister and brother-in-law saw it opening night, and proclaimed it as "awesome", if just a bit long...so, bring snacks...

It was good, however with all the sexual innuendo and swearing . . . my ten year old won't be able to see it. Drat, why throw all that stuff in?

Anyway, its a popcorn flick. I dug it, winced at a few parts, but dug it nonetheless.

The first movie was decent, but these movies suffer because the action is so fast that you can't follow what's happening. I get lost in the battle sequences, and that shouldn't happen. Ruins it for me. I will probably not waste my money to see Transformers II.

Wasnt a huge fan of transformers 1, so I'm not really interested in seeing this one too badly. Besides, I've heard real bad things about it.

QFT!!!!!!!

It's not exactly like the first one was a cinematic masterpiece......it was 2.5 hours of "ginormous alien robots blow crap up.....oh....and they TURN INTO FREAKING CARS!!!!!"....and it gave me pretty much EXACTLY what I expected going in. I can't see this one being any different from that.....

I have no problem with mindless entertainment. I rarely go to a theater for deep thought. I just want to be entertained and forget about the world for a couple of hours.

on this one you CAN see everything that happens while they are fighting, I think they use som "The Matrix" technology to play the scenes in slow motion so you can actually see what's going on.

I really like this movie, and I enjoyed it a LOT!

It's great for fun!

Pass. Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf make me cringe. Plus it's Michael Bay.

I loved it (saw it tonight). The action was a LOT easier to follow this time and the fight scenes were fantastic. And I thought the plot was a lot better than what most people kept saying. Does a movie with giant robots fighting each other really need a plot anyway? My ONLY complaints were the cussing and the robot humping Megan Fox's leg. That was a bit stupid. But overall...I thought it was a fantastic summertime action movie with a bit of dumb humor thrown in.

Now if they'll only do a third one and get rid of the human cast all together and put it on cybertron....then we'd have something! (Ok, maybe Megan Fox can stay on board, but that's it..)

Or they could cut out the robots and just leave Megan Fox......

(Mrs. Alldat slaps him back into reality after that remark)

Actually, you get what you pay for with this movie. I saw it opening day. You get 2.5 hours of giant robots duking it out with them adding more story from what happened on Cybertron. Shia is there for comic relief, and you can't have a movie with cool cars/robots without having a female eye-candy actress in it. So, mix it all up, and you get a really fun summer movie. Ok, it isn't exactly "family friendly", but it is still a fun action movie. If you liked the first one, then you will probably like this one as well.

It was good for what it was - a summertime blockbuster that doesn't require much thought.

yeah - agree with most of the comments.

It was waaaaay too long for me though. I took my teenage niece and she loved it. I thought it was okay. . .

I liked it. Wasnt as good as the first one but what sequel is?

My major problem was that it was over acted. The bit where bumblebee started crying was ridiculous and when sam witwicky was attacked by the fembot, his screaming made me cringe and i didnt like the twins, simply because it was a very thinly veiled attempt to make fun of black people.

I think the director is trying to hard to make the movie funny and it would be better if they made the movies a bit darker, like the batman movies, where the sequel blew away the already brilliant original.
