| Hey Scott......that Dracula book by Stoker?? Read it already. You're right. Good read. Pacific Hawk by John Vader. This is another in that Ballantine aviation series. (I'm going to read them all now or......die trying) After a concise developmental history, and a short look at service by the P-40 in North Africa and Europe, the majority of the book deals with service by the P-40 Warhawk in the Pacific--its major theater of operational use. _________________ "The 'farce' is strong with Sith Lord Obama-Wan." words of Scourge.

| I just finished The Great Gatsby for the second time. First time I have EVER read a book through twice in a row like that. Fabulous! Just started Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. _________________ “If you make less than $250,000 your taxes will not go up. | I just got back into David Limbaugh's Absolute Power, then it's back to his tome Bankrupt. Then onto Bernie Goldberg's Crazies To the Left of Me, Wimps to the Right. I guess I'm just in a political mood right now. |

| P-51: Bomber Escort by William Hess. This is an excellent book. After a very short developmental history, the Mustang is looked at in all operational theaters and tasks. Bomber escort (and to a lesser degree, ground attack) is first looked at in Europe, from Britain, and then Italy. Even the Russian shuttle raids are examined. Then Mustang operations against the Japanese are studied. Good schtuff. _________________ "The 'farce' is strong with Sith Lord Obama-Wan." words of Scourge.

| Currently reading through the Basic Tenets of the DOGMATA faith in the thread that was locked and moved from the Prayer and Bible Study section. I need to remind myself of those truths and precepts DAILY lest I be led astray. |

Excellent!! You wouldn't happen to be a Blind Guardian fan? If you are, you already know...if not...Nightfall In Middle Earth is their musical ode to The Silmarillion (and my all-time favorite metal CD).
I've started The Dragon Riders Of Pern from the beginning, so here's to a long ride!! |

| B-29: The Superfortress by Carl Berger. After a brief developmental examination, B-29 operational service is then chronicled. The first Superfortress raids against Japan from the Chinese bases are looked at. Then, after the Chinese bases were closed due to the ineffective results, because of the greater ranges from China, the Marianas operations are covered. Finally, the two atomic bomb missions with B-29s are discussed. _________________ "The 'farce' is strong with Sith Lord Obama-Wan." words of Scourge.

| I wanted to try and get into reading some of McCaffrey's titles, but the one I tried didn't do much for me...its still bookmarked about 1/4 of the way in. In my state of depression right now, I hafta watch what I read even in my favorite genre of sci-fi. My sister gave me Peretti/Dekker's 'House' for my b-day, so I'm going to give that a whirl. Knowing Peretti, it will probably not disappoint. |

| You will most certainly NOT be disappointed, Patho. Truthfully, it's mainly Dekker's baby, with Peretti writing the outline and about the first half of the book. But Dekker always delivers the goods, so you won't be disappointed. |
