There are a LOT of rumors and speculations flying around right now, but according to FoxNews, the latest theory is that Chris "The Crippler" Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend and then killed himself today. He was supposed to be at an ECW PPV on Sunday but no-showed for personal reasons.

This is truly sad for me, as I am a big pro wrestling fan (as many here know), and was a very big Benoit fan.

Just saw this on the news too. He was one of my faves as well. Yeah, it's all scripted but he was just so intense.

I saw the last few minutes of Raw last night and was like huh? I never heard how they died until this thread...that is incredibly sad.

Its being reported as a homicide according to Yahoo. I almost didn't believe it last night. Very sad news indeed.

It gets even worse. The story I saw on ESPN said authorities believe it's a murder suicide. They think Benoit killed is son and his wife then later himself.

I read that too. That sucks. What could cause a man to do something like? Especially after all the commentary last night from his WWE coworkers that all said that he loved his family and his kids?

Details of the deaths of pro wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and their 7-year-old son may seem "a little bizarre" when released to the public, a prosecutor said.

Not to speculate, but that really doesn't sound good.

Just saw this latest news... Anyone who would do such a thing to a child (Good heavens - even their own son) is a completely and utterly worthless piece of garbage. Good riddance!

Ballard said. The son, Daniel, was likely killed late Saturday or early Sunday, the body found in his bed, Ballard said.

Benoit apparently killed himself several hours and as long as a day
later, Ballard said. His body was found in a downstairs weight room,
his body found hanging from the pulley of a piece of exercise
equipment. The prosecutor said he found it "bizarre" that the
WWE wrestling star spread out the killings over a long weekend and
appeared to remain in the house for up to a day with the bodies.
"I'm baffled about why anybody would kill a 7-year-old," Ballard said.
"I don't think we'll ever be able wrap our head around that." Earlier, a law enforcement official speaking on a condition of anonymity said Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son.

i heard this last night. i was even more shocked to find it was a murder suicide. i can give no real thought to this.
