Speaking of the African thingie......yeah..... .....i've gotten some of those type emails and junk phone calls too. All I can do is shake my head at how some people actually fall for this type of ****. (Choose the 4 letter word of choice and use it there)

The desire for money is a strong motivator....

Cool! That sounds like fun....but we've signed up on the "No Call" list and it works pretty well. On the occassion some slip through the cracks, when I pick up the phone and hear that slight 1/4 of a second pause I've conditioned myself to hang up.

"Scambaiting" sounds like a crappy Seattle hardcore band.

But could be a whole lot of fun! I wonder how many emails I can get from that Nigerian national who wants to send me some money before he catches on that I am scamming the scammer???

I was skeptical when they said a long lost relative in Zimbabwe had left me money but then they proved it by telling me we had the same last name. Maybe I should have realized Johnson is a fairly popular name. So that's a scam huh?

No. Well, probably not. The Johnsons are a large and well respected clan. He's probably telling you the truth.

Mr. Johnson's Medieval ancestors in Europe in 1284 were stumped as to what the name of their family/clan should be. You see, in Europe during the period known as the *High Middle Ages* surnames were just being taken on as a distinguishing feature by most families. The adoption of surnames allowed greater familial recognition and easier recordkeeping at all levels of Medieval society and growing bureaucracy.

Surnames were taken/adopted from all kinds of recognizable and distinguishing features. Appearance, vocation, geographic location, family history, etc., there were many bases (plural of basis) for surname adoption.

Mr. Johnson's Medieval ancestors were stumped as to what to base their surname on. They finally decided on this: At a recent point in the past one of the family forebears had been named John. One of the male offspring decided that the adoption of surname would include both his gender recognition and the usage of the forebear's name--John.

Hence.......Johnson. I.E. The Son Of John......Johnson.

1. It is there in the Sponge Bob Bathroom because my wife Debbie wants it there. I don't protest. If I don't I have found that my beatings are both less severe, as well as less frequent.

The Sponge Bob pinata works for me.


2. There is nothing in it. It is for looks only. It fits in with all the other Sponge Bob Bathroom.......stuff. Thereby increasing the enjoyment of the fortunate bathroom user.

And you are correct......it is a combination of 2 different words/terms/names/something like that.
