Vote D. |
Dear Teacher,
Please excuse D from this Militaria question. She wishes to sit this one out while still enjoying the thread. An apple of your choice, lovingly selected from the produce section of the local supermarket, will be waiting for you at the doorstep of the Vault (that is, if the Demon Poodles haven't gotten to it, first.)
Thank you. |

Mmmmmmmmmm................. Irradiated. |
I would've lovingly selected a fresh, delicious apple from the local Farmer's Market, but since the Teacher is stingy with the contents of his Vault, he gets the inferior irridated Food For Less brand. |

| Points: 1. The answers so far: Musclecar1975 will not answer. Texanvfg says American WW II Army General Patton. Intrigued1 says American WW II Army General MacArthur. Black Rider says, "a short, French, dude." That whittles the possibilities right down. L8T has no clue. Mr.Electric has no clue. TallT has chosen irradiated fruit. (Fruit can't talk. They can't say, "GOD is on the side of the big battalions." Even I know they can't talk. Not even when I was on acid, mushrooms, or mescaline [not all three at once ] back in the 1970s did fruit ever talk to me) (But pot and hash sure did taste good smoked out of a pipe carved out of an apple or a pear......see, drugs and fruit did go together at times) 2. I shall provide the answer soon......probably tomorrow. A new question shall immediately follow it. 3. D said: | Quote: | Dear Teacher,

And I smiled.
However, then she said:

And I did weep. Cheap, lousy tasting, bruised apples are my lot. This is the thanks I get for running the questions in the *Militaria* thread.
Oh......
You might have gotten stuff from the vault D. Not now.

Hey GW....is NOW the time to spin that Van Halen song? Heh |
I presume she is using "Dear" in the generic sense of being an acceptable and customary greeting during a written (as is this typing) address. BTW I love that song. _________________ "The 'farce' is strong with Sith Lord Obama-Wan." words of Scourge.

Oh, so now you tell me I might have gotten something from the Vault? Maybe taking a bite out of that irridated apple changed your mind?

I seem to have a certain weakness for emoticons. |
That's my little Honey Bunny. Glad you like him. He's hopping over to the Vault right as we speak. Trick or Treat.
BTW, "Hot For Teacher" is not my fav song off of 1984....it's "Jump". No just kidding.....I hate that song.....my fav song is actually the sappy ballad "I'll Wait." |

| Ok, i'll clarify. A short, French, General who's name started with an N. Got it? _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. I concentrate on spotting and weeding out satanic paper, handkerchiefs (do you really want Satan that close to your nose?) and eggs. I can spot satanic eggs at Wal Mart like a frickin' drug sniffing dog.

| Points, including the answer and a new question: 1. The question is: | Quote: | | Who said, "GOD is on the side of the big battalions." |
2. The answers to the question above:
Musclecar1975 will not answer.
Texanvfg says American WW II Army General Patton.
Intrigued1 says American WW II Army General MacArthur.
Black Rider says, "a short, French, dude." That whittles the possibilities right down. Later he said, "A short, French, General who's name started with an N."
L8T has no clue.
Mr.Electric has no clue.
TallT has chosen irradiated fruit.
3. You are all incorrect. And the answer is......(Insert drumroll sound here).......Voltaire. His pen name was Voltaire; his real name was Francois-Marie Arouet. Black Rider was partially correct.....Voltaire was a short French dude.
4. Before I get to the next question, I want to address something.
D said:
| Quote: | | He's hopping over to the Vault right as we speak. |
Your little Honey Bunny is so cute I would probably let him right into the vault.
D also said:
| Quote: | | Yeah, it must be a guy thing what with the "teacher" in a bikini and all. |
At least the teacher got the attention of the class.
Hey......maybe I should start wearing a......nah..... ......nevermind.
5. New question. This is a Medieval weapon. It is a club, staff really, four or five feet long, with a large iron spike at the top. It was mostly used by European peasants, and knights encased in armor found it quite intimidating as it could easily pierce the finest--and thickest--armor.
What is this--most commonly--known as? Choose from the answers given below. One is correct. The rest are incorrect.
A--The penis of satan.
B--The toothpick.
C--The "Good day."
D--The Richardus Burtonus.
E--The dagger on a stick.
F--The pointed club.
G--The can opener.
Decide. Don't cheat. As I said a couple of questions ago......winners never cheat......cheaters never win.....often cheaters just spontaneously burst into flames.

| I'm going with A. If it's wrong, that should have been the name. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. | I want to say "E" or "F", thinking, that in it's original language, that is what the name meant..... So,..... "E" is my final answer. _________________ I'm not going to taste you to verify if you have bad taste or not, but let's just say I strongly suspect that you do.
