Mardels to no longer sell Magazines! What?

One of the largest members of the Christian Book Sellers association to no longer sell magazines! I stopped this morning to pick a new copy of Marriage Partnership and Home School Today and after not find them or any magazines for that matter I asked a sells associate where did you move the magazines? She says we are no longer going to carry magazines!

Wow, the Apocalypse must be near!

Many stores buy the magazines to sell but are losing their shirts on them. Why buy a magazine when you can find the content online for free many times? That's how the market is thinking right now. So, I would look for other Christian bookstores like Lifeway to phase them out soon.

The Christian Science Moniter is no longer a daily printed newspaper. It is daily on-line only! (They print a "best of" issue a few times a week.) I imagine a lot of specialty magazines will do the same eventually as a cost saving measure.
