| Maine just voted to repeal the law allowing "same-sex" marriage. At least 30 states have now voted to preserve traditional marriage._________________ YOU MUST RESIST!!! | It is utterly amazing to me how state after state after state repudiates gay marriage, yet the Democrats continue to try to shove it down the public's throat. Thank God for ballot initiatives! |

| Yes! I was JUST going to start a thread about this. I am one of those Maine voters who helped to repeal the same sex marriage law. It was a tight race, but we Mainers have some old-school values! I was so excited when I woke up this morning to see that we had won! I'm a born and raised Mainer, so being here to see us, as a state, overturn this ridiculous law was AWESOME! _________________ A Wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is early, he arrives precisely when he means to

| It's likely going to be repealed in Washington though it was an, everything but married law. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. | I bet your vote in Maine gets overturned by the Supreme Court. And, somehow, I am betting that homosexual marriage is railroaded through the remaining states through this ruling. I hate to be Mr. Negativity, but that's just what I expect. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

No offense but if the race was really that tight there must be only a small majority that shares that old school values. |

| The race was tight, only because the opponents were using fear tactics to get their point across. A lot of people were voting for gay marriage, only because they were afraid of being called bigots and hatemongers.....Trust me when i say that Maine is full of people who want traditonal values to remain intact. _________________ A Wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is early, he arrives precisely when he means to

| Even if it was a tight race, at least it wasn't one where the liberals overwhelmed the vote. I'll take a tight, hard-won race over a hopeless one any day! _________________ _________________

| Washington's law remains intact with the overturn losing 51% to 49%. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles.
