I Am Legend

Cons: Almost nothing whatsoever like the book, slightly not great CGI, funny product placement.

Pros: Pretty much everything else. They pulled out a lot of stops (above) to potentially screw the movie up, and it just didn't work. Honestly, the screenplay, camera work, acting, everything, is amazing, moving. I would also classify this film as "Christian friendly", but won't spoil it by saying why (the pions that follow all Hollywood liberal film that dominates everything are throwing a fit at this moment). And some of it was among the most frightening stuff I've seen in a theater, and I've seen a lot. Plus there are previews for 'The Dark Knight', 'Rambo', and this Roland Emmerich movie involving a buttload of mastedons. Mastedons are in the top 5 most metal animals ever. I'll be seeing all three.

I'm a big fan of Matheson's book, so I am a little leery about this, but if it is very good, I can be pursuaded.

yep..as I said.......it's its own thing....just don't go in expecting this should happen here, and this should happen there...and it's an extremely good butchering. Should have been called something else, but any way you slice it people think it's a '28 Days Later' rip off, even though many parts of it are far superior, so whatever. That particular sort of vision has never been accomplished so well, I don't think.

i can echo that review...i was in the theatre Razz

one of the best films in the past couple of years, IMO. very smart, suspenseful and well done. i kept finding myself saying "that was good" after the movie. i highly recommend it.

I saw this, and it's definitely VERY similiar to an old balck and white film with Vincent Price..I think it was killed Last MAn on Earth or something. Anyways..pretty good movie.

Ashenvale, the movie The Last Man on Planet Earth was based on Matheson's book "I Am Legend" as was Omega Man. This new movie is actually the third movie adaptation of "I Am Legend".

Interesting movie... cool idea, weird execution. Lack of character depth or sympathy in general. Bad CGI indeed. Needs a little more action. Watchable on dvd for sure. 5/10

I would like to see this since Im a big fan of the original Vincent Price movie. I need to read the book one day though.
