Yes, I have made my own ringtone. I have a "record" feature (under "entertainment") so I I recorded the first 20 seconds of "To Holmgard and Beyond" by Turisas (awesome song). Then I designate that recording as my ringtone. Easy! Twisted Evil

I wanted to take Stryper's "To Hell With The Devil" and make it mine, but I am too cheap to pay for it. I can also record like you all mentioned, but the sound quality usually is so low on those things. I was wondering if there was some way to send the song via a text message, save it to the phone, and then use that as your ringtone. You could control the quality of the MP3 that way.

I tried just uploading my editted version of THWTD directly onto the Micro SD card. But, that did not work. The song wouldn't transfer.

If your phone has a memory card in it for models like the Razr, you can create a ringtone from any mp3 at http://makeownringtone.com and save it to the memory card.

if you got a phone like mine it has a voice recorder on it record 20 sec or so and then in the menu set as ring tone.

Chris, go to www.download.com and type make ringtones (or something like that) in the search bar. It will bring up several programs. I don't know if any of them are free or not, but it is a good place to start.
