well I meant the last part. where you talked about condemning Benny Hinns and how it makes you feel better and keeps you from dealing with your own problems. I am/was assuming that you were insinuating that I had nothing better to do than to sit around and bash others on the net. Which I am guilty of doing at times. I dont know if that was your intent or not. If not, than I do apologize. I misunderstand things when it comes to message forum or chat room talk mainly because I cant see you or anyone else much less hear your voice to even know the expression behind the response.

Without trying to put words into Candy's mouth, I'm reasonably sure that was simply and open and honest look at himself and his own motivations....It' can sometimes be hard to tell because Candy's got a penchant for sarcasm and one-liners, but I have serious doubts that he was simply taking a shot at you.

You miss the point, Shadow. It's not in the actions of protesting, but in the attitude of self-righteousness, of condemnation of the individual. Romans tells us that there is therefore now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ.

HE does not judge or condemn us (though He has every right!), and yes, we deserve it. So who are we, imperfect, stupid, rebellious sheep to stand in judgment of others for their wrongs? Shouldn't we be focusing on loving them as Christ does?

Yeh I see your point, but this guy and his followers are masquerading as christians and giving us all a bad name by saying they are happ when innocent people die, because its supposedly God's condemnation on them. They are being the pharisees here, and it makes the rest of the people in the world who call Jesus Christ their Lord and saviour look like fools to many people, not to mention it gives the ignorant a reason to blaspheme Gods name.

The biggest failing I've seen when Mr. Phelps is confronted many times, is not who confronts him, but how they confront him. Most confront him with mockery and indignation, with anger and hatred, and the man drinks it in! He takes that as a confirmation that he is doing the right thing. He claims that he is hated because his message is the right one. But when someone confronts him, or his followers, in love, he has nothing to say. It is our failing when we allow ourselves to hate the man, to condemn the man just as it is when he allows himself to hate those he rails against. Our response, as TRUE Christians, should be different. It should be to show him the love of Christ, so that he can see how it really looks.
