| I (usually) could care less about films adapted from comic books.

Those things have been around since the relaunch of G.I. Joe in 1982 when it was just a toy line/comic/cartoon (each with a seperate continuity) so its not like marketing GI Joe will only happen with the movie. |

Haven't you learned that Ashenvale is your typical Christian goth / industrial fan, which means he pretty much hates everything. I deal with them daily over at Flaming Fish Music and know this to be true. I visit the CMR to get away from their continual pessimism for awhile  |

| Any comic book going to movie has that potential, but it could still be great. I think I'll wait to pass judgement until I am sitting in the theater watching.

If not, they might spit up all over themselves. Those 3 actors are way too young for those roles. Claire Danes would make a more age-appropriate Scarlett. |

| Me thinks you get too worked up over the exact details. Most people going to watch the movie will only have a knowledge of the tv cartoon, and they aren't going to really care how old the characters look. Besides, some change in details is what is commonly known as "creative license".

| Wel, the only problem I see with the casting so far is that they got Zartan and Destro ass backwards, from a cosmetics standpoint...........

Or being an anal fan. Most people won't give that much thought about what they are seeing. From the cartoons, most of the characters appeared to be around the same age. To draw in a younger, newer audience, more youthful looking actors will be needed. That's commonly known as marketing.
