Anyone get theirs yet? Anyone late with theirs? I thought ours should have been here, but it seems late.

*Phew* I'm not the only one. According to the IRS' website, I should have had mine direct deposited into my checking yesterday. Some people that have the last two digits of their social with higher numbers than mine got theirs all ready. Weird.

Yeah, mine, too. I can't find anything on-line that says there were delays, but this IS the government....

Our washing machine, of 14 years, just went out....so,we got a (nice) new one (expecting the check), and, my wife said "you remember our last stimulus check...we bought our new refridgerator"...so, two times now, we needed the check and we got it. Interesting how that works.

This will guesstimate how much you get back - we were surprised to find our son gets nothing back even though he worked and got a refund. We had claimed him as a dependent to us since he is still in college, and that made his own return ineligible.

If/when it gets here, we're spending it all in one fell swoop. We bought 2 computers last fall and a refrigerator a couple of months ago on our Best Buy card. The interest on that thing is outrageous! So, we're paying that off and closing that account.

We'll be paying some bills... Buying school clothes for the kids. My car needs new tires and breaks, so I'll probably spend a good chunk on that.

Scott, I live in the foothills of the mountains and you might want to rethink living there. No high speed is just a minor inconvenience but driving 30 minutes to the store gets old and emergency care is not always there fast. It still gets hot in the summer so we wish we had air conditioning and we split wood all the time to heat our homes. You can simplify and still live in cities.

Me, i'm spending the money. New stereo!

I was expecting mine to be direct deposited into my bank account by May 2. It still hasn't arrived. I called the IRS to ask them about it(after searching online to figure out a way to actually talk to a real person). First, he said that they were behind and the rebates would be 1 or 2 weeks late. Then he told me that if I used a third party, such as Turbotax or H&R Block, that I would be getting a paper check instead of direct deposit even though I had my refund direct deposited. I used Turbotax, so I guess I'll have to wait for a paper check.

What am I gonna spend it on? I don't know, maybe a full tank of gas for my truck!

2 years? What went wrong? My HVAC went south 2 Octobers ago when the exchange rusted out, and the danged thing was covered under warranty (although the labor wasn't).
