Can the Dodgers handle the 40-degree temps they're going to encounter here in Philly later this weekend? That would be quite....cold....to you SoCal folks...

Yeah 40 is the over night low in the dead of winter out here. Plus Vegas has the Phils winning in 6. We shall see.

I want a Dodger/Angels series, though the Phillies are alright, too.

I just really don't like the Yankees.

Dodgers lucked out today. Gonna be a tough series for us. Too many big bats in that Philly line up. We shall see.

Me either. In fact, I HATE the Yankees (Boston and Atlanta too). I also don't like the Phillies because I grew up in Allentown, PA and had to stomach the pro-Phillies propaganda for years.

Therefore, even though they ousted my beloved Cardinals from post-season, I'm grudgingly rooting for the Dodgers to win everything.

I don't hate the Yankees. I'm looking forward to seeing the Phillies handle them, though.

Seriously....that was a frustrating loss for the Phils today. Pedro pitched so well, and the bullpen, but especially the defense, let the team down. Go figure...in game one, the Dodgers usually strong bullpen (George Sherill specifically) lets them down. Today, the Phillies usually strong defense lets them down. Wonder what happens when both teams are firing on all cylinders. That's what we saw through about 7 innings today and it was a 1-0 game. Today it was 1-0 Phillies, but that could easily be 1-0 Dodgers with a Manny HR instead of Howard.

I like the Braves... that's my team. My second favorite team would be whoever is beating up on the Yankees at the moment. Up until this year that was the Sox...

I pretty much like everyone except the New York teams... I just like well played baseball, otherwise... A few teams can't field a good team (Nationals anyone?) But for the most part, it was good season to be a fan...

And the Yankees win again. Just in case anyone didn't know.

But its great to be a Phils fan!

Don't you get the sense that the Phillies just want it more? The Dodgers look lackadaisical out there.

I just knew we were headed for a Philly/Yanks WS.

Blecch.

The Phillies have the pitching and the power to hang with the Yankees. I don't think the Dodgers do. I still hope the Dodgers and Angels make it, but that looks like a long shot now... more so with the Dodgers. I still think the Angels could beat the Yankees with a few breaks.

Hate the Yanks, but happy for A-Rod who I think gets too much crap, despite being one of the top hitters ever.

A Phils/Yanks WS would be great in baseball terms, if not in TV ratings beyond the east coast. These are two potent lineups and the starting pitching is close, though I'd give the slight edge to the Yankees in that department. Ryan Howard is about as hot as hot gets in this postseason.

From a competitive aspect a Philly/Yanks WS is probably the best matchup. I just don't like when I don't have much of a rooting interest for either team, for or against. I guess I'll pull for Philly but I won't be happy about it.
