I Like the Phillies, You? I think they have a better lineup, that and my southern heritage will not allow me to rout for anything Yankee! LOL

I was going to say Yankees, due the long layoff for the Phillies. However, when I saw that, "I don't care" was a choice, I went with that. When I do pay attention, which is almost never, I am a Cardinals fan. Baseball is just not what it used to be. I grew up on Whiteyball with the Cardinals, very exciting! Now you can barely get to know players before they change teams. And which big stars are not steriod users? Only 1 or 2 I can think of. Nevertheless, i will say Yankees in 5.

I take the Phillies to.

I think the Yankees might be the best team, though. However, the Phillies have the power and the pitching to hang with the Yankees and might be a better fielding team. I like their experience, too. This should be a good series.

I was torn as I HATE the Yankees, but hated to vote for the Phillies who beat my Royals in 1980. Still, went with Philly here. I think they are more of a team, less a collection of stars.

I hate both teams but I hate The Evil Empire slightly worse than the Phillies.

There are four guys on the Yankees who have been with them since 96 except for Pettite who took a little break but is now back. That's unheard of nowadays. I know, you can say they buy their teams, but look every year and how many new faces are on every team?
Toho, I bet if the Rams could spend a lot of money on good players, you'd want them to.

Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard, Werth, Ruiz....all Phillies who were either developed by the club from the farm system or signed to the team before they became anything. I don't know anything about the Yankees roster, but I do know the Phillies are a home-grown bunch.

I, obviously, chose the Phillies!!!

My hatred of the Yankees goes beyond the "they bought a pennant" line of thought. I think what I resent worse is the way the media treats all New York teams as "media darlings"; like those of us in other parts of the country must be unsophisticated rubes if we don't adore the Bronx Bombers. I can't stand how ESPN treats the Yankees and the Red Sox like they're the center of the sports world during baseball season.

The only Yankee I like is Joe Girardi. i think he's a class act.

I agree with you actually. I've liked the Yankees since the Catfish Hunter years and watching Reggie Jackson sealed it. Hey, I live in the NW, we're like the B teams of the sports league.

Lots of ex-Indians on these playoff teams.....hard to see that, but, I want Cliff Lee to win a world series. It isn't that I don't like CeeeeeeCeeeeee, but, very difficult for me to root for any team from the-center-of-the-universe.

Werth was drafted by the Orioles and traded to the the Jays. This is where he spent his first years before going to the Dodgers, where he made a name for himself before heading to Philly. Really pangs me to see Werth beat up on the My Dodgers game after game. They should have kept him. Bone head play.

It's against the law of a Dodger fan to root for either Yankees or the Phils. There have been new laws established at Dodger stadium.
