| I aways thought it was rather nice that the jewish commnuity and seventh-day adventist and those who enjoy a Saturday Night service brought some balance to the whole work / day of rest thing. Again, I feel as the issue is our hearts, our desire / need to rest and focus on Jesus and have some fellowship with our family (church and blood) Its about attitude, and sadly sometimes mine is a little flippant and selfish too. Glad we have a God of Grace. _________________ "This is a happy occasion, let's not bicker and argue about ooo killed ooo!" |

Exactly. And that is why I don't want to do it as well. I think that if more people (whether Christian or not) didn't go out to restaraunts on Sundays a lot of them would probably close on Sundays. The reason they're open is because they know they can make money and that people will go. |

I have Messianic Christian friend and I have enjoyed the Saturday Sabbath with him and his family. It was really nice. You feel all rested and it is like you think the weekend is over, but you still have Sunday left. Sunday being the actual first day of the week, it is nice to catch up on stuff you need to do. But wither you keep the Sabbath on sat or Sun, you can't go wrong by keeping it Holy as the Ten Commandments say. But we are under grace, so it is not a requirement for the New Testament Church.
