What I love about Satanism...

...is that the first of the nine sins of Satanism is none other than "stupidity." lol!

I think all religions need to label that as a sin somewhere.

The other eight don't sound too bad either:

pretentiousness
solipsism
self-deceit
herd conformity
lack of perspective
forgetfulness of past orthodoxies
counterproductive pride
lack of aesthetics

They just repackage a lot of what some different beliefs (including Christianity) emphasize in a simple-stupid way and throw in some good old fashioned selfishness for the appeal. Cool

the way I've always felt about satanism is that ... it doesn't take an
entire beleif system/religion and "evil" bible to tell me exactly how
to be selfish. If I want to live a life of selfishness and believe that
I am God ... I don't need Anton Lavey to help me reach that conclusion,
as it is a very carnal and logical conclusion to come to when devoid of
all other moral principles.

By being a satanist, you are not only arriving at a conclusion that
anyone, non-satanists included, could easily arrive at, but you are
expressing it in an immature acid-induced shock-rock package.

I know I could articulate what I'm trying to say better ... but I'm a
little dazed right now and can't quite find the words. I hope I'm
making sense, though.

I've been making a study lately of more modern Satanic cults that also take bits and pieces of truth from other sources and "satanize" them to feel special. Dragon Rouge, MLO, etc. It's been very interesting and actually a bit of a blessing in certain ways, as all things have the potential to be. Cool

Interesting for sure. I've always had a morbid fascination with this
kind of stuff. I don't know ... I decided a long time ago, however,
that I had no interest in being part of those groups ... but I still
find it bizzarely cool.
