Umm........

I've been a little, mmm, cynical over the last several months, just in case anyone noticed, sorry about that. The Morrison alter ego has taken over again, and everything negative that goes w/it. Not trying to shift culpability to some imaginary scape goat, but it does seem to contribute to my dark side. Truth is I've been going off the deep end at many of the shows, drugs/alchohol, not to mention all the women who lust for "Jimbo." Think I'd like to try to get mind and heart right again, but there's such a war going on in there!

I'm so bloody depressed I can't stand it anymore, nothing excites me, nothing to look forward to. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find a reason to get out of bed!

Maybe you need to try something different just for giggles, Mark. Maybe you could hook up with some of us on CMR and do vocals for a couple of original tunes. I know--it won't be channelling the great "Jimbo", but it might give you just a glimmer of hope and give you a new direction. It's just a thought.

I know when I get caught in a rut, I sometimes have to make myself go a different route.

I didn't go out, but I blew off mowing yesterday because I was so depressed and drained. Now it's raining, they're calling for severe storms later and we have an outdoor gig tonight.....

Show went good tonight, it's still fun when things go ok, but it really sucks when they don't. I guess the difference now is if the band were to disolve, it really wouldn't bother me that much. A while back I would've freaked out, it's just not that important to me anymore.

Maybe that's actually important, right there......when things you love to do become an oppressive chore and start to consume your life, that's not a good thing, ya know.....I'd keep doing it as long as it's an enjoyable thing to do, and, if it ceases to be a joyful experience for you, lay back for awhile unitl it appeals to you again.
