Hey all- I just wanted to give a general update and sincere thanks to all who have stood with me in prayer on various requests and expressed their care in pm, etc

You ROCK!

Also-Just throwing out the reminder that God is good ALL the time and we WILL reap a harvest in due time *if* we don't give upp.


-the widowed aunt: We successfully closed her business, downsized her into a nice little apt near to family AND she has several opportunities to keep doing some work for some other people. Yay!

-the neighbour's custody case: People who were supposed to be listening and reporting to the court finally did so, healthy accountability has been put into place and the family IS moving forward.

-my son and school: My boy seems to be finally able to keep pace with his regular assignments and is using his time much more wisely. The grades and attitude are consistently improving. This quarter, he started taking drama/guitar and we told him if he made the effort and was serious, we would invest in getting him a guitar set-up of his own. It was really exciting when he brought home a guitar from class this weekend and has been spending time strumming away on it ever since. He said he wants to learn to be responsible in this way. As additional incentive, his uncle is coming over in awhile to jamm with him. This is especially exciting for me as I prayed for him in utero to be blessed with the gift of music and I always wanted him to get schoolwork out of the way for things just like that. I don't know if this will last/continue BUT, something seems to have changed and I am SO grateful More prayer is deeply appreciated... ^


Generic Praise Reports V

-being a 'black' thumb: Pretty much everyone in my family of origin is very skilled with plants, gardening, etc. I never took the time because I thought I just didn't have the knack for it. Since moving from an apt to a house, it becomes clear that this is something that has to be remedied. I look around my yard and the herbs, the trees, the lawn and the flowers are all bouncing back beautifully. Now I'm going to get really ambitious and plant some veggies. In these uncertain times, it strikes me that people might do well to grow some of their own food for themselves and their families if they can (plus, it's great for bartering w/ others of like mind ) My pollenators (hummingbirds) are coming around again and even my indoor plants and fussy things like orchids are just flourishing...I'm stoked!!

Spring has sprung!

-mom: She's making plans to move back to California closer to me, my brother and our kids. That in itself is wonderful-she has spent so much of her life being in relationships that are unhealthy and sacrificing family for that... but her mind on all of that has really changed/is changing and for that, I can't praise God enough! It will be great to have her around and spend some time with us. The logistics are challenging but I'm patiently believing for the means and timing to work themselves out. Prayer is much appreciated!

Thanks for sharing these, Angel. Its great to hear some good news considering all the recent crap we keep hearing about senseless shootings of innocent people, economic problems, and the like.

Did I? The homework battle has been raging (barring summers) for five loooooooooooooooong years now so I wouldn't be surprised if I sounded raggedy about it.

If it was deleted, I may have an idea why, but I could be wrong about that...

If it so offends in part or potentially for me to say what something was really like for me to the point it is deemed deletable, I'm kind of at a loss of what to say
