Quit Smoking

I just destroyed the rest of the ciggarettes I have, I keep saying someday, but someday never comes! I want intamacy w/Christ, and as long as I keep turning to cheap substitutes, I'm not going to have it. Ciggarettes have been my life support, I have always turned to them in times of trouble, may I begin to turn to the Lord for all my needs. I could use every bit of prayer in this battle!

Amen brother Im praying for ya. I quit smoking about two months ago man. I had been a smoker sense I was 16.

I think I started around the same time, and I'm 46! The thing is, there never is a perfect time to quit, there is only today.

It's only been a little over two weeks of freedom from porn and self abuse, perhaps I'm trying too much too soon.

So tough. Smoking may be the hardest addiction physically to overcome. Take it slow but don't quit.

Try again bro. I never smoked cigarettes but I was in bondage too natural psycadelics for quite a while.....quit my senior year of high school....havent had the desire since. You can do it brother.

I personally believe marajuana and other natural occuring herbs such as salvia are designed with a healing purpose and method by God.....its a shame society has abused these things and have allowed ourselves to become enslaved by them so they now have bad connotations with society.... both christian and secular.

As someone who struggles daily with the cigarette thing, I definitely believe it, Candy. I'm praying for you, and need to find the courage or seek the humility to fight this battle as well.....

Ahhh dude just hang in there. Give the nicorete gum a try. thats what I have been using. I never had the porn problem though. but I will give prayer to it all.

For now I think I'll concentrate on one addiction at a time, I get overwhelmed when I try to do everything at once.

Don't beat up on yourself, brother. I know it's a very easy thing to do when you feel a conviction to get rid of something in your life. We all have vices and things that afflict us in some way or another. God knows your heart and sees you striving to be a better servant of Him. The fact that you feel a conviction shows that you want better, and God understands that. The time will come where you can remove that stumbling block....rest assured.
