The doctors have
consulted and have decided to try repairing this through a 2nd
angiogram. This would entail putting a small clamp or coil inside the
vein where the aneurysm is to seal it off. If this works, no invasive
surgery. If this fails, then daddy's surgery has been moved back to
tomorrow.

They did the 2nd angiogram last night. Now, they are saying that they
cannot find an aneurysm and no reason for the bleed on the brain that
he had. That could mean that his body is correcting this on its own.
So, his actual surgery, for the time being, has been scrubbed.

That's cool. I'm still praying for you guys.

Okay....Thanks for the update,...and, still praying.

Daddy has a lot of fluid on his lungs, so they had put him on a ventilator. However, once they determined the cause of the fluid, they could pull the vent. They thought he had set up pneumonia, but he has a staph infection instead. So, since the bleeding vessel in daddy's head is healing itself, we will be able to go home once this infection is cleared.

I have learned one valuable lesson in this: God is bigger than the raging of the sea. When life's waves want to capsize you, our God is bigger than those waves. Christ made the waters and can calm the storms. I'm not saying that He is gonna make everything perfect, but you can rest assured that Jesus has those waves under control and will give you peace in the middle of the darkest moments.

They did get daddy off the vent! Praise God! When I left the
hospital, they had him out of bed and sitting up in a chair. He's
still got a lot of junk in his lungs from the staph infection, but he
is coughing a lot of it out now.

My dad is still in the hospital. They are still treating the staph infection, and they want to do a 3rd angiogram sometime this week. So, in the mean time, he is just hanging around getting grumpier and grumpier.

Sounds like what i'd do. I'll keep praying.

They have scheduled the 3rd angiogram for today. I think it has
something to do with the fact that he is having more headaches. Let's
hope that all looks good so he can go home.

Okay...

It's getting worse as far as the agitation level is concerned. They
had told us Thursday that they would run a 3rd angiogram, but probably
send daddy home and let him come back as an out-patient. Then, they
changed it on Sunday to doing a 3rd one while he's in the hospital.
They scheduled it for yesterday as an add-on, and ended up canceling
the procedure. He's back on the list for today, but as an add-on. So,
they are probably going to do it late--if at all.



I am about ready to choke the living daylights out of the next doctor that walks in his room.

Daddy got moved out of ICU to a Neuro stepdown unit. We should be going to the VA soon for therapy on his legs.
