Yet another thread needing prayer. I just got home from Church tonight and I learned a LONG time family friend passed away. this man (Jim was his name) had been friends with my grandfather for years. He watched my mother and uncle grow up and has more less known me sense I was boy. He needed a valve replaced in his heart, had a mass on his kidney and he had luekemia(spelling?) All this kind of hit him all at once.

Believe it or not, one good thing does come out of this though. Jim, for as long as my family could remember, believed in the gospel of works. He had ALL and I mean ALL the qualities a Christian should have. That man loved his neighbor as himself as well as his enemies 110% like no one I know. Only problem was he was relying on himself for salvation. Just a few weeks ago, he accepted Jesus as his savior. Right before he got really bad. Its always good to know when someone has died, especially someone as close to you as Jim was with my family and me that they're with the Father. Pray for his wife, family, and friends.

You, like me, and probably others here, are around many older adults, and, a Fact of Life is, that, they are going to, eventually pass on (die).....so, it seems, that we are around lots of people dying........and, ......we are...

I Greatly appreciate how sensitive you are to this, And, that you are able to Praise God at this time.

An addendum to what L8T said. That has been something most unpleasant about my increasing age. I age.....others die. I age......others close to me, ones whom I love and care for......they die. They die.....I continue. Ugh......
