| Praying for you whatever the situation is. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. I concentrate on spotting and weeding out satanic paper, handkerchiefs (do you really want Satan that close to your nose?) and eggs. I can spot satanic eggs at Wal Mart like a frickin' drug sniffing dog.

| I would hope you could be assured your folks will love you no matter what you do. IF you go ahead with what you feel God is leading you to do and it really is from Him, I can almost bet they will see it in time. I don't know the situation but Abraham leaving his father's house and the land he grew up in to obtain God's promise by faith comes to mind. This probably didn't go over so well around the breakfast table, either, BUT, what would have happened if he didn't obey that call and follow through on that decision ? | If you haven't already considered it, may suggest fasting and having some others join you? ((bikergirl)) _________________ only symbols can be twisted ,burned, spat on etc.NOTHING truly Holy can be desecrated..... - Sabbath Steve

| Sometimes you just have to do what you feel that the Lord is leading you to do. Families won't always like that. I seem to remember reading in Mark that even Jesus' family came to get Him and take Him back home with them. Should Jesus have listened to Mama, or should He have done what was God's will? If you feel that you know what God is directing you to do, Bikergirl, then do it. Your family might get angry at you for a time. But, if they really love you, then they will get over it. _________________ "DEJA MOO--The feeling that you've heard this bull before!" |

Sometimes, when I have prayed for wisdom, I never seemed to know what to do. When I have prayed for peace about a situation, then I got the wisdom to know what to do. I'm gonna pray that God gives you peace about it whatever it is you are going through, Sis. Then, I think you will see clearly through the fog.

| God (back in 2003) used this very story to speak to my wife & I about taking a huge leap of faith. My family was very upset, & verbalized to me that I would fail. It was hurtful. We still obeyed God, & did what we felt we were supposed to do. God has blessed our obedience, AND worked in my family. They have come to accept what we did, & things are alot better. MANY times God works in multiple lives thru one, single situation. Where as God may be teaching you one thing thru your circumstance, He is working something totally different in the lives of your family members. It seems like very often we lose sight of where "discomfort" is normally present in periods of change. Most people will not face their giants unless they are "pressed" to. It is wise to pray: 1) God, thank you for what you are working in ALL our lives (even if it makes no sense right now), 2) Thank you for always working things with our (& others) eternal destination in mind, 3) Thank you for being faithful to work to perfect each of us (regardless of age or standing), & 4) Thank you that it is the end result (see Isaiah 46:10) that brings you glory, & us reward. | Angel with Attitude wrote: | I don't know the situation but Abraham leaving his father's house and the land he grew up in to obtain God's promise by faith comes to mind.
