A Word of Thanks To God

God was really watching over me and my house last night. About 2am this morning, a drunk driver sideswiped a car parked on the street, mowed down my mailbox, tore up my front yard, uprooted and broke off a big bush and missed the corner of my house by less than 6 inches! He was so close that the downspout was dislodged.

The police got him and fortunately he has insurance. I am just very thankful that he missed my house. He almost clipped my garage which could have also then messed up my car inside. Grass, bushes, etc can be fairly easily replaced.

I'm also thankful that no one was seriously hurt. Hopefully, this guy will learn a lesson from this.

Here's how close it was. He hit the bush out front and completely uprooted the one around the corner.

He was headed straight for the garage. The policeman said he has no clue how someone that drunk managed to miss the house.
