| I took a voluntary layoff from my job back in March. My hopes were to pursue being involved in ministry on a more full time basis. I don't mind doing bivocational work (have a job on the side), but I am tired of doing youth ministry on a volunteer basis. Anyway, about three weeks ago, I tossed up a quick prayer asking God to just direct me where He wanted me to go. About two hours later, a church from here in my county calls me up and is inquiring about my resume that they pulled from the TN. Baptist Association. Needless to say, the pastor and I hit it off pretty well. I've had three interviews with them so far. Coincidence? Maybe--but a cool one nonetheless! Today, though, things step up another level. I have impressed the church's search committee. Starting tonight, I will be doing some fill work with the youth group with Fall Creek Baptist Church. If things are going well in a few weeks, the job most likely would be offered to me. I don't know how much it pays, and I am not going to ask until I know for sure that God is really pushing me towards or away from this opportunity. I know that God will care for my wife and my needs. So, for a few weeks, I'll be the youth pastor at my church doing my regular thing on Wednesday nights. I'll be working with this other churh on Sunday nights. And, I'll be doing my Campus Life stuff on Monday nights. Alldat needs your prayers, and a couple of cases of energy drinks. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| Awesome. I have been and will continue to pray for you. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. | Things went pretty well last night. Oh, it was making me very nervous, but I always worry and fret too much (like my mama). The kids were friendly, and I taught them from Colossians 1:13-23. I was using the song "What This World Needs" by Casting Crowns as my connection point. All in all, it went very well. Needless to say, I'll be returning for another round next Sunday. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| Things went well, and I'll be doing week number 3 this Sunday night. While this might seem taxing to some, I find it a good sign. Every week that they want me back means I'm one week closer to being offered the position. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| I'm going back to Fall Creek Baptist for round three of my trial. I should be having to do some Wed. night stuff for them pretty soon. I'll be glad when we get to the point of them making a decision, though. I am enjoying working with this new group, and could see myself staying on here. But, my prayer is that if this is God's will for me to be here, then the door will open and I'll be offered the position. If it isn't God's will, then I am praying that they will tell me that I might not be the right guy for them. I know--it's very simplistic "fleece", but it works for me. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| I understand as not knowing can be tough. Praying still. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles.
