That is a sweet kit! I have a Mapex Saturn Series 6 pc., & I love it. Although, it is a "lively" set & like to be played loud, & that doesn't fit too well in the small room that they are currently in... Laughing

That's what I like to hear! It's not the most expensive kit out there, but it's not the cheapest either. I'm really hoping that it will be a durable set long-term.

I've got a set of Zildjians right now that are old, but still servicable. If I sell my old set to a guy who is interested, I may turn that cash back into a new addition, but I'd like to stick with Zildjians for sure. Maybe a China.

Nice set,TT.I started out on set of Mapex drums.They hold up great.I then moved on up to a set of Pearl.Nowadays a set of Mapex will cost as much as Pearl.

A good cymbal set up can make all the difference! Just start a cymbal fund. Guitar center will give some pretty good deals from time to time if you'll just tell them what you want and what you're willing to pay. I saved a LOT of money by doing that! Go in and try them all out! The Zildjian A's, and K's are all great sounding cymbals. You just need to figure out what sound you're looking for. The 14" custom K fast crash I have was GC discount priced at $255 but I only paid $125 for it by telling the guy what I wanted and what I would be willing to spend. The fact that I buy a LOT of stuff from them probably doesn't hurt, but they will deal with you! I never pay sticker price at GC. Wink
