Here's the current rig........

Yes, this is my basement setup. What you see is a Peavey Windsor halfstack sitting in between the speaker cabinets of a late 60's/early 70's Pioneer stereo system, with the tuner/controls for the stereo sitting on top of the left cabinet. I run a CD or MP3 player thru the stereo, and jam along...works INCREDIBLY well this way, with MY sound squarely in the center of the stereo spectrum....
On top of the controls is a Behringer V-Amp Pro rack unit, that generates most of my tone. The guitar signal runs into the V-Amp, which runs only into the return of the Windsor. Because of that, the Windsor acts primarily as a power amp (the tone/gain/volume controls on the head are inactive; only the power amp response controls are active (Resonance = low end "tightness", Presence, and Texture (suposedly shifts from a "class A" to a "class AB" feel; I can't detect much difference in sound except over maybe the final 1/3 of the knob's range....). Not pictured (because I just pulled it back out today) is an Ashly stereo 4 band parametric EQ, in the loop of the V-amp. I run the out from one channel into the "in" on the other channel, essentially giving me 8 overlapping bands of parametric EQ. I wish I had a way to record some decent sampls, because the rig just THUNDERS...........
The little pink pedal on the right stereo cabinet is a Behringer knockoff of a Boss Metal Zone that just.....doesn't sound very good (but hey, it was only 20 bucks). I've also got an original Pro-Co Rat and a Rockman preamp to pull out, dust off and play with

Guitars pictured are a Washburn WG-587 7 string, and an 88 Gibson Explorer. A previous owner of the Gibby had the floyd installed..... The Jackson I got a month ago is in the SKB logo case you can see on the floor, the tan case in the corner in front of the right stereo cab hold a 60's Guild archtop with a P-90 neck pickup and the Gig bag on top of the same speaker holds my fits guitar, a black Korean strat knockoff...both of those are in need of some TLC.....and not pictured is a Peavey Rotor EX 7/8ths scale "beginners guitar" I got for the kids to knock around on.........
