Why would I want to? Well, first of all, my drumming sucks. But, playing that fast makes the rhythm so mucked up that it really is just noise to me. There is no definition to what is being played. It just comes off as a band playing fast because they can--not because it's good.

Is the the drummer for Dimmu? That was awesome! The music was epic, but the drumming is fassssssssst!! I love blast beats. I used to hate them and think they were just noise, but now I truly appreciate them. Good vid!! Smile

eh, it was fast, but I've seen just as fast and much more talented. That was very borning for me. I guess I just don't get that style of drumming.

He may well be a master, I don't know. All I can go off of is the clip you posted. To me, it's just someone getting a workout. Other than a little tom work about 3/4 of the way through, he isn't really doing anything but hitting one thing over and over again really fast. It does nothing for me, and IMO, doesn't take a lot of talent. I showed it to my drummer (who has been playing for over 17 years and covers Rush for fun) and he said it wouldn't be hard at all to duplicate what was done in the video. That's all I meant by seeing someone more talented.
