Woohoo! Found some really good info over at floydrose.com about setting up the bridge. Seems pretty easy to tune down and reset actually.

Why half a step? Are you a big Diary of a Madman fan? I am, and have been considering switching to that tuning for a while.

1. Yes Im a huge Diary of A Madman fan......THE best album Ozzy ever released and some of Randy's finest work.

2. I started tuning down a half step about 8 years ago when I was in an 80's metal cover band. Almost every song we covered was tuned down a half step so it just made everything uniform.

At the moment Ive been writing new songs and Im going to see how my vocals match up to standard tuning. If my vocals match well and I dont get too strained then I might stick with standard for the most part. Maybe keep my Carvin (which has a floyd) at half step down and use both tunings for the music Im writing.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about getting the guitar, at this point.....Rondo doesn't have a case that fits it (that I could find, at least), and it appears to be larger on that back wing than a Rhoads does.....So, I'm sorta waffling on the purchase at this point.

Ya know Exo I think read somewhere that those V's dont fit a case. You might want to look into a gig bag. Try heading over to harmony-central.com and check out all the user reviews on the V models.

Well during the super bowl I decided to tackle tuning my Douglas down a half step.........which requires a little work......adjust the tuning.......adjust the tension springs on the floyd bridge......after following the directions and spending probably 20 to 30 minutes I got it tuned the way I want it and everything is perfect! Again.....Im a happy boy!!
