Just wondering if anyone here has any custom guitars from places like Warmoth or Halo, etc?

I was telling a guy in my worship band at church that I wanted to get a Strat for the band since all my other guitars are too "metal". He mentioned that he builds all his guitars himself from places like Warmoth.

For example, I can get a Strat body that I dig so much, with my choice of routes, bridge, laminate top, colors, etc. I can get that matched up with a Strat style neck but with Ibanez Wizard neck specs.

The site is really cool. All guitar players looking for a new guitar should check it out.

Anyway, anyone play any custom guitars?

Warmoth is excellent. My former guitar teacher has built many guitars using their parts and all that I saw/played were very high quality.

I assume that their customer service is good too, because he used their site almost exclusively.

A friend and I have been talking about warmoth for months! We both want to go this route at some point in the very near future. I just got a Jackson SL2H (na na na na na!), and it's a dream guitar, but I am still interested in putting together something unique (with exotic woods) in the soloist style! I'll probably wait until next year, but it is definitely something I am going to do!

Lately, I've been getting more and more into the idea of custom guitars. It's my dream to have a few custom Zion's, McNaught Phoenix Risings, and some custom shop Jacksons. Now that I've checked out Warmoth, I've added them to the list Twisted Evil

Never enough cash though, lol. Would be very nice however!

Warmoth makes really nice stuff. One of the basses I built from there is used as their display for the type of wood it was. It was awesome. Wish I still had it. Smile
