I'm looking for s cheap electric guitar to learn to play on and I'm not looking to preform with it (I would rather be singer anyway) and I was looking at these;

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BU42LM/ref=s9sims_c2_267_at1-rfc_p?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0V5YJJV28TMH5THC6RYC&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=320448701&pf_rd_i=507846

http://www.amazon.com/Austin-Bazaar-Metallic-Electric-Guitar/dp/B0007W8NBE/ref=sr_1_39?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1219951628&sr=1-39

http://www.amazon.com/AXL-Marquee-Eldorado-Electric-Guitar/dp/B001B19G2A/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1219951668&sr=1-17

Does anyone know if these are any good? Does anyone know of any other good cheap guitars? The style I would like to play is Alt-Metal, death metal and punk

Thanks

I personnally recommend that you go with a RG from Ibanez if you plan on playing rock/metal.

OK. Well, fist of all you need to remember that opinions are just that, opinions. Forinstance I hate Ibinez guitars because I don't like thier necks. But that is probably because I am used to playing guitars like Les Pauls and any ibinez fan could tell you that there's a world of difference between the two. However, as a beginner, neck shape probably won't be an issue.

That said, I will only give you practical advice. Of the 3 links you posted I would tell a beginner to go with the first because it has a tuner, I didn't see that on the others.

Also, cheap guitar pack like that often come with a standard tremolo (as 2 of your links prove). Standard tremolos (whammy bars) tend to go out of tune easily. If you get a guitar with a whammy bar, have your fun with it, then take it off. It will only tempt you to put your guitar out of tune. Once you know how to play you can work on learning tremolo stuff but until then don't mess with it. And coming from me that means something because I have owned guitars with floyd rose, kahler and standard tremolos and I like standard the best.

Lastly, and sorry for the long post, check out rondomusic.net I have limited experience with their products but the prices are tempting.

I have actually bought a guitar from the Rondo people. I have an SX GG5. Ok, it isn't actually a style you'd be interested in. But, from my experience and from reading on the Rondo message boards (unofficial), the SX guitars are gonna need replacement tuning heads. Spend the extra cash and get the Agile guitars. I believe that the guitarists for Tykkus bought those. I love my SX guitar, but only after I had it fitted with some Grover tuners like what were on my Epiphone Dot.
