| I have an early to mid 80's Gibson Epiphone P-Bass that I had given to me in pieces and I am looking to re-build it. I don't know alot about it, so I have a friend that will put it all together when I get the parts. I'm looking for a good place to buy the electronics. I checked eBay, but it seems to be mostly older vintage stuff out of my price range, or cheap Squire type stuff that I don't want. I plan on getting a '62 Fender P-Bass re-issue pickup to put into it and would like something decent for the electronics. Any idea where to get some good stuff fairly cheap?
I normally wouldn't waste time on an epiphone (as you can get them pretty cheap from Guitar Center and used stores), but apparently this is a very early model Epiphone, back when Gibson still put their name on it in big letters and before it became a cheap bass. The body is in ok shape and I threw some strings on it and the unamplified tone and sustain was great. It's just a great feeling bass I'd like to get working. |

| | Thanks for the info, lifemetal. I think I found exactly what I am looking for from the stewmac.com site. |
