2nd guitarist for Christian metal band (NEW ENGLAND)

Hello...my name is Jay. I am from Boston, and I am looking for people in the New England area to help me with a metal project. Hopefully we could get signed and go on a tour or something. \m/ But for now, let me just say that I have almost enough material for an album, but I can't do it alone. I have a drummer; he's 15 and very good for his age. If you are ok with that, keep reading. Wink

I'm 25 myself, been playing guitar for over 10 years, and can sing quite well as well. Musically, I play everything from power metal to black metal, and everything in between. As for the project, it will incorporate all of the styles of metal: Death, thrash, power metal, classic metal, metalcore, black metal, etc. I would say mostly power and thrash metal. If this sounds awesome to you, let me know. I need a second guitarist and a bass player. If you are BETTER than me, AWESOME. I'm decent at leads but I can't do arpeggios. Wink

Otherwise, I consider myself a shredder, especially with fast riffs. I like technical stuff as well. My favorite influences are: Deliverance, Tourniquet, Believer, Mortification, Extol, Children of Bodom, Metallica, Shadow's Fall, Sacred Warrior, Becoming the Archetype, DivineFire, Petrar, Saint...etc....

If you can write lyrics, that would be awesome as well. The content WILL be unapologietcally Christian, but with REAL lyrics, not Christian cliche. We don't have to agree with everything doctrinally, but having a passion for God and preaching the truth in love is a must. Some lyrical issues include: messianic propehcies, end times, real life issues, intelligent design (against evolution), etc.

does it count if i'm just across the border? I would love to play in a Christian metal band but I live in a Christian ghost town... and I prefer playing second guitar too though I've been playing for more than 10 years now which makes me sound kinda old though i'm 22! anyways, good luck on your band forming!
