| This is the one thing I've never liked about this site. _________________ Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. - John Wooden |

Common, you've got to admit that slayer falls in the avoid at all cost catagory. One of their albums depicted Christ with his arms cut off. |

| What have you got against references on this site to Savatage COS? |

I think many Christians would agree with you, but some would not.
Let's assume Slayer is in this "avoid at all costs" category. What is it that makes a band/album/song in this category?
The difficulty I have is in setting up rules in this area that are applicable to every Christian. But maybe you have some insight in this area. |

Hey, that's what we're here for. Personally, I think God is far more concerned with what is coming "out of" us rather than what is going "into" us. Granted, the things going into us can affect us. But how we live, the attitudes we show to others, the love of Christ that we might express... All these things for me are much more important than a certain song that I might listen to. I'm more concerned about the fruit that my life is bearing than the songs my ears are hearing. I'm in a place where I would say that the lyrical content of the music I listen to has close to zero effect on my thoughts, attitudes, and walk with Christ. Others might be in a completely different place, and that's fine.

I'm entitled to my own opinion, of course, but I can see how that might come off as arrogant or otherwise not good. Thanks again. You've given me some good things to think about. |
And you and others always give me good things to ponder, too. Thanks.

Anti-leftist? How? He doesn't like the UN but that doesnt' mean he's anti-leftist. Infact, he's probably more anti-right wing and deffinantly anti-war._________________ Romans 6:1-23 |
