| I need some help with something. I have loved The Great Radio Controversy for years. But every time I have listened to other albums by these guys, I have just not been that interested. I've since discovered that their albums are varied in style between pop, rock (both 70s and 80s style), and heavy metal. I'm interested in purchasing individual songs from the other albums that qualify as 80's hard rock and heavy metal. I like the big anthemic chorus/hooks. Can you guys help me with some song titles to check out from the Mechanical Resonance, Psychotic Supper and Bust A Nut albums that fit this bill? I don't usually do the individual song thing and prefer to buy CD's, but I ain't got that kind of money, and I'm not interested in albums where I might like only 30 to 50 percent of it. |

| I was going to make a list of tunes you might like, but seriously, I love Tesla... so, it was ending up being pretty much all the songs... :lol Anyway, I think you can't go wrong with anything off Mechanical Resonance or Psychotic Supper. I don't think you can wrong with any of their other stuff either, but if I had to say, those albums are more 80's kinda stuff, in my opinion. |

| Easy! Tesla is my 2nd favorite band, hands down. These are some songs covering their entire career that I think compliment The Great Radio Controversy nicely. I should say that I don't think you'd like the Bust A Nut album however, based on your tastes you described. These are all awesome: Cumin' Atcha Live Modern Day Cowboy Little Suzi Edison's Medicine Song and Emotion Freedom Slaves Mama's Fool Caught In A Dream What A Shame Come To Me I Wanna Live Fallin' Apart All Of Me _________________ Love Bomb Baby!

Ditto! Easily a Top Ten band for me, so I like pretty much everything. That being said, as GP said, I doubt you would like much off of Bust A Nut, and the Reel To Reel discs are just cover songs, which you may or may not like. Mechanical Resonance is a classic, period! | I only hear a little in the pop department and they do it so well I like it. I would add Heaven's Trail to GP's list. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. | I was a HUGE Tesla fan years ago and still like them. As Arttie pointed out, Mechanical Resonance is a classic. Two other songs from that album that are good are "Changes" and "Gettin' Better". I would also recommend songs from Five Man Acoustical Jam. They do some amazing covers and I'm not a big fan of live albums, but this one is one of the exceptions in my collection. I think the best songs off this cd are "Signs", "Before My Eyes" and "We Can Work It Out". |

| Tesla never disappoints live, either, so their live discs are very well done, especially Re-Plugged... Arttie _________________ Constitutional separation of church and state is a lie; it is a figment of the secular-progressive's imagination.

| So this ends up being a, buy it all, thread. Hope you received some help FOJ. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. | As far as individual songs go, "Freedom Slaves" has always been a favorite for me that often goes unappreciated. Arttie _________________ Constitutional separation of church and state is a lie; it is a figment of the secular-progressive's imagination.

| LOL....yeah, Black Rider, I had a feeling that's what would happen. People are either a fan of the band and say "buy it all!" or they're not big fans and don't even respond to the thread. Oh well...I'll probably pick up Mechanical Resonance and then illegally download the others to hear what songs I like and then go legally buy them. Gotta love the Internet! |

| While being a big fan, I did point out that you would likely want to steer clear of Bust A Nut and the covers albums.... Arttie _________________ Constitutional separation of church and state is a lie; it is a figment of the secular-progressive's imagination.

| Nice link, GP! Thanks! That's what I'm gonna do. For all the consternation about illegally available music online, it is nice to be able to completely preview something before buying it. |
