| Anyone here into this band? Eariler today, I saw the video for their song, "Life Is Beautiful"... a great hard rock sound, with aggressive vocals. According to Wikipedia, this band is the brain-child of Nikki Sixx. Good stuff. Joe |

| I've heard it a few times, but I'm still trying to make up my mind on it. It's very well done, but a bit too modern for my tastes. I did find myself singing "Life Is Beautiful" this morning though. Catchy! I'm also not too sure about the concept. While it's a cool idea and I'm sure it was very cathartic for Nikki Sixx, does it make for an album that I will want to listen to over and over? Time will tell. Regardless, it is a very well done album, with good songs. _________________ “If you make less than $250,000 your taxes will not go up. | Easily one of the best "modern rock" albums of the past decade. It was a pleasant surprise to hear Nikki shift away from the punkish overtones of his last few projects. The album is supposed to be the soundtrack to his book "The Heroin Diaries". _________________ "It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not."

| I don't like it at all. It sounds way to cliche for my ears. _________________ My Heroes |

| What did you think was cliche about it? I thought it actually sounded quite unique and different than most typical modern rock. _________________ "It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not."

| LOVE IT!!! Tracks 2-7 especially.... Very cool stuff that is even better when you have read the book because it IS the soundtrack of that book. Arttie _________________ Constitutional separation of church and state is a lie; it is a figment of the secular-progressive's imagination.

| It just sounds really generic. It reminded me of when Motley Crue put out those new songs for Red White and Crue. Icky-poo! _________________ My Heroes |

| I'm really loving this thing. It's good to finally here him have a decent vocalist to sing his material and allow him to open up in the range-dept. a little. :p I think the lyrics really put this album over the top for me. Some really great lines in there... GP, Have you had a chance to read the book? Getting into the lyrics like you have, I think you might appreciate them that much more if you did. |
