Hello and thanks to those that have added to the list.

My reasoning is simple, all musicians need Salvation.

When God pulls your ears out of the fire you soul soon follows and you wish what you use to listen to would also get saved. Then you wonder what you missed while you were deaf.

ADD: John Schlitt(Head East)(PETRA)
Rick Wakeman(YES)
If your not sure add the name anyway and we will sort it out later.

Test:lyrics & lifestyle for affirmation.

Rob Carroll (who sang for Michael Fath, The Outlaws, the NightCrawlers, and others). Several years ago, he got saved at Calvary Chapel of Manassas, VA.

He's presently leading the praise band at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Reston, VA... and he's totally on fire for the Lord.

Incidentally, he played an awesome acoustic set at my wedding back in 2001... his contribution really added a nice touch to the ceremony.

Such a nice, simple way of viewing the world. In fact, wasn't it John or Paul (or was it Ringo?) who said "They shall know you by your lyrics!" Rolling Eyes

First off, judging someone by the lyrics they write gives us, at best, a skewed picture of what is really going in their heart. Even the best lyricists cannot adequately or accurately express everything that is going on inside. Add to that the fact that the listener will often misinterpret what he is hearing based on his own biases and limited understanding of the lyricist's intentions and background and you get a very limited picture indeed. But it is definitely enough information for many Christians to formulate a wonderful judgment about the artist in question. Hooray.

And as far as lifestyle is concerned, how can you judge someone's lifestyle who you do not know personally? Do you judge by the stories you hear on the news or in magazines or on message boards? Many "rock stars" present an image of a supposed "lifestyle" that is nothing more than fiction in order to create publicity that will generate sales.

The Metal Bible was released in Europe. It's a New Testament that also has testimonies of known metal musicians, guys like Nicko McBain, Rob Rock, that dude from Korn, etc. It's actually a very cool idea. They give them away at big metal festivals.

One of our members here has a lot to do with this. His name is Johannas, but for the life of me I cannot remember his screen name. I was lucky enough to be able to take part in the Bible and have a copy myself.

The man, who is also a good friend of my, is Johannes Jonsson, who also runs www.metalforjesus.com (I think MetalForJesus) was his screen name on the last CMR).
I recently spoke to him about this project (he much done by himself, he put some $10,000 from his own pocket to finance it) and now they have given away 20,000 metal bibles and he told me the English version is not far away!
Awesome guy.
