Opeth - Watershed

How is this disc? Worth picking up? I like what I've heard on Amazon.com via the samples they have there. The only other Opeth album I've listened to is Damnation.

definitely worth picking up. a pretty great album. Of course, it has the death metal elements not present on Damnation.

Nice signature. That's from the Silmarillion, about the sons of Feanor?

Yeah, that's what made me like the samples - sounds like a good mix of some beautiful clean sections with some pretty brutal death metal parts.

Short answer: There IS no "bad" Opeth disc. If you are at all familiar with and like their sound, pick it up.

Watershed is a brilliant disc! Like exo said, there is no bad Opeth disc. You can do no wrong by picking up that album.

I think it has the most clean vocals of all their albums besides Damnation. I like it but don't think it's quite as good as Ghost Reveries.

Plenty of clean vocals, yes, but absolutely stunning arrangements -the band keeps evolving and have a sound all of their own.
