| Too much "Wooooooarrrrrrrrgggghhhhh" style vocals for my ears. Too bad too because musically, I've liked what I've heard. _________________ "The banner of loud and rebellious music will never die. It just gets older." - GODSWIZARD

| Toho! Check out the album Damnation! It has no "woooaarrghgh" vocals at all. It's very mellow and bluesy. _________________ My Heroes |

I think that was the album featured on one of the dvds that was just snore-inducing. _________________ "He had discovered Time and Death and God"-Aldous Huxley

|
I think that was the album featured on one of the dvds that was just snore-inducing.
Yeah you're right in the first part there BFTD, they play all of Damnation on the Lamentations dvd. It's pretty mellow man. But it's a great album IMO. Did you make it to the second half though? Much heavier, and by the bands' own admission "this is what we really sound like". |

| How is the band lyrically? I mean specifically in regards to content, etc. _________________ "Their Oath shall drive them, and yet betray them, and ever snatch away the very treasures that they have sworn to pursue."

| All over the board....Akerfeldt writes a LOT of occult themed material, though it's not in the "hail Satan" vein; it's much more towards the whole "romantic ghostly tragedy" type of thing. _________________ Obama is no more the Anti-Christ than George Bush is Sauron, sending his armies into Iraq searching for the One Ring.....

| I really like the album "damnation!" Blackwater Park is probably my least favorite. I would love to see them live sometime! I bet they put on an amazing performance! |
