I would love to hear a metal version of Don Henley's Boys of Summer. I have heard a pop punk cover of it but I would love to hear a metal version. like the original has a line that says "out on the road today i saw a dead-head sticker on a cadillac" and in the Ataris cover instead of dead head they say black flag. like for the metal version instead of dead head they could say hate-breed or megadeth lol

Wasn't it the Ataris that did the pop-punk cover that said "saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac" instead of a "Deadhead sticker..."?

I'm partial to Gamma Ray's version of the Pet Shop Boys' song It's A Sin

Gotta look into this one. I kind of like August Burns Red's "Baby One More Time."

To go the other way (pop cover of a metal song): Pat Boone does a killer "Enter Sandman".

I like At Vance take on Abba's S.O.S and Helloween's cover of "Lay All Your Love On Me" (originally by ABBA too).

I'll probably get flamed for this, but The Devil Wears Prada Still Fly was pretty excellent.

I think type o negative does that song. not sure it might be another happy love song..

Talking about pop singers doing rock songs, Avril Lavigne did smells like teen spirit.. and butchered it..

...*ffffffft*...Avril Lavigne butchered "Fuel" on the MTV Legends: Metallica show...the only time I was pleased to see that little girl was on the AL-TV interview segment for the Poodle Hat release back in 2003...
