Are you going to pick up a copy of the new Lynyrd Skynyrd CD God & Guns?

The cover artwork looks cool, and I've heard some of the music and it sounds great.

Some very strong lyrics also.

I've seen Skynyrd live more then once, and I have a Skynyrd live DVD.

These guys seriously rock, and if you like them you may want the new CD.

I like what I've heard... I'm just not running out to get it. I'll get it eventually.

I picked it up. My review is posted here:

It's a decent album, but not as good as their last few studio platters IMO. There are alot of obvious attempts at country crossover. The rock songs are great, but I am not a big fan of modern pop country.

I have it and I like it but I agree with Ult's review for the most part.

Me also though I think it's less country then he does. I think a lot of modern country has moved into the southern rock territory.

Here here my sentiments exactly I can hear the country roots clearly in this cd and can see them going more towards this genre more and more. After all the Van Zants have done a country album, their last colaberation is so country IMO.

I, in this current time, am not intending on purchasing the album. I cherish the "Pronounced Lee-Nerd Skee-Nerd" album out of their total released material.

For those of you planning on buying this album, I recommend that you download it onto your computer. In this proposed way you will save money and time.

Um, no, don't.

First off, isn't that techincally stealing? And isn't a certain Someone against stealing?

Second off, if it's a CD I want then it's worth my time and money to support the artist.

When it rocks, it's good...when it goes country, it slips a little.

BTW...Fortifiv3 could be talking about LEGAL downloads from iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Maybe he could be the Metal Man in Black.

Give him a black cowboy hat and have him sing...um...a thrash version of Ring of Fire?

I was talking about buying the MP3 album from Amazon or eBay. It is normally cheaper if you buy it like that.

Odd title, especially considering that last I checked Skynyerd (or at least Ronnie) were ANTI-gun. Its going to be really weird if they play both Saturday Night Special AND the title track on tour.

You can support the Constitutional right to bear arms and yet still have a personal opinion about handguns.

A lot of people own rifles for various reasons, but not handguns.

Rifles are more associated with hunting, while handguns tend to be used for other purposes.
