| Well aware of Demons and Wizards and Nevermore. I own both D&W, and most of Nevermore's catalog _________________ Obama is no more the Anti-Christ than George Bush is Sauron, sending his armies into Iraq searching for the One Ring.....

| Thanks, but I've NEVER liked Manowar.....at ANY point in their career What I'm REALLY looking for is stuff similar to the Communic/Tad Morose/Persuader/Savage Circus/Dark Empire thing. Dense, complex music with a groove, bordering on Gothenberg deathmetal, but with lower register, MOSTLY clean vocalists. Nightfall in Middle Earth era Blind Guardian crossed with In Flames, with the guitars tuned low, essentially...... What can I say? I know WHAT I like, but I'm just not overly aware of what's out there........ _________________ Obama is no more the Anti-Christ than George Bush is Sauron, sending his armies into Iraq searching for the One Ring.....

Not lower register, but all clean.....have you tried Timeless Miracle? They are certainly dense and speedy. Maybe too many keys for most, however._________________ Hey kid! |

That Volbeat recommendation might be a good call. Not thrash at all but they also don't really sound like any other band IMO. They are heavy rock but pretty much defy categorization. _________________ "The banner of loud and rebellious music will never die. It just gets older." - GODSWIZARD

| If you want a Christian equivalent to Cannibal Corpse, search for "Crimson thorn" on youtube. They are straight up blackened death metal. (They're lyrics are great too) The blast beats are intense, along with the brutal sounding vocals. |

| I don't worry about "alternative to" this or that. there's no point in it for me. I only have 2 classes of music: the bands i like, and the bands I don't At one point or another, I've owned everything Crimson Thorn has put out, and frankly, they're not worthy of the hype and praise, in my book. I bought into that hype about 10 years ago, when I listened primarily to Christian stuff. They were my first foray into the world of "brutal" deathmetal........and they single handedly kept me from investigating it any further for a few years until I encountered Nile. I kept thinking "If this is the "best" out there in the realm of brutal deathmetal, the style is obviously not for me".....and I couldn't have been more wrong. Stylisticly, they're nowhere even close to Cannibal's sound...... _________________ Obama is no more the Anti-Christ than George Bush is Sauron, sending his armies into Iraq searching for the One Ring.....
