I would say Pink Cream 69 is not power metal. Just melodic hard rock with some AOR.

Dang Genre Nazis! Stop it! It wouldn't have mattered what I called it, someone would have complained. But yeah, the new Firewind is pure power metal. I also wouldn't say Jorn if far from power metal either. If anything you pulled out to genre label complain about it should have been the Three album or Warrel Dane's solo album.

Those Silent Force, Rob Rock and Primal Fear albums are all gems! I would expect that you'll be VERY pleased by all three. I've never heard the others.

Yeah, its definately a great perk to doing the magazine. But I do put in a LOT of hours and work to put the magazine together, so its not exactly "free"...but I understand what you are getting at.

FOJ, I think you'd really dig the Pink Cream 69 disc too. They must have the dumbest name ever, but the band is smoking!

Excellent stuff.

Silent Force - Walk The Earth is one of those few "perfect" albums in my opinion..not a skip-worthy track on it.

New Religion (aside from being turned off by the name) isn't as good as Seven Seals in my opinion, but no complaints.

I have to thank this group for pointing me to Rob Rock. I had never heard of him before reading these forums. If I had in years past, however, I can almost guarantee you that his silly non-metal name would have probably made me laugh and pass him by then.

I likely would have missed out on his excellence and simply assumed that it was merely the aforementioned "dookie rock" Smile

I mirror this statement 100%. I didn't learn of him until he was brought up several times on here and even then passed up on him for a long time due to the name.

The upcoming issue is gonna be awesome! Testament, Death Angel, Warrel Dane, Pharaoh, and tons of others. Plus I think this one looks a lot better than the last issue.
