KISS has basically become like the first parody video posted in this thread- they are indeed now a parody of themselves... putting Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer in Ace's & Peter's makeup- for cryin' out loud! Give the replacements their own character.

I paid to see the originals for the last time on the reunion tour in 2000... and they are STILL playing this very day (Gene & Paul). They should have quit while they were ahead.

I was a fan from 1977- owned about every KISS 8-track there was; I even liked Dynasty, Unmasked and The Elder.

They used to be the "Hottest Band in the World," now they're simply a money-milking-machine joke.

I began to smell foul play when they released the shoddy Psycho Circus.

I understand the ill will towards Kiss these days, but seriously, Kiss was always a money milking joke.

And I'm a Kiss fan. They've always been a bad with a different perspective than other bands. I'm not saying that's good or bad, it's just the way they've always been.

So, it is with that in mind, that nothing they do outside of the music really surprises me.

I've never bought the crap they've sold, with the exception of the first set of McFarlane figures, some of the comic books and way back in the day I bought the Majic Market cups... But, to me it's always been about the music and on that front they've seldom let me down.

Oh, I understand, trust me... That stuff just doesn't bother me.

Look, if they are going to be a retro act, meaning they are going to just do the same old songs year after year and not really try to move forward and break new ground... then fine, let 'em be in the spaceman and cat make up...

I think, though, with the new album, I'd kinda like to see them either go with new characters, which they aren't going to do, or drop the make up all together, which they also aren't going to do.

So, you're left with what they give you, I guess. I suppose, even though I was six when I bought Destroyer brand new at KMart in 1976 and did the whole Kiss Army thing and all, I never got so married to the characters that it bothers me to see Eric or Tommy or whoever in the old characters...

I'm not knocking those that have a problem with it, because I can see it from that side, I'm just saying to me, it really doesn't bother me.
